The world is advancing so fast, and you have to adopt the trends if you want to be in the race for success. All the businesses are making their online presence compulsory to reach customers. Internet is a good source to connect businesses with consumers. Having an online website is mandatory as people these days prefer online shopping because they can find the desired item online and order it with one click sitting on their couch. According to Statista, from 2015–2019, online shoppers increased by 17% in Poland, which will increase with time.

Why You Won’t Make It Without Online Presence And Digital Marketing

There are several reasons why you won’t make it without an online presence and digital marketing. Having a great website is important, which describes the features of the business. You can tell the story of your business, engage them to buy your products, display the products available, and create content to generate leads and conversions on the website. A website should be the priority; instead, social media platforms hold great value in digital marketing; people find Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc., more interesting and interactive than the website itself. Let us discuss the logics for why we should be present online. In Italy, digital marketing advertising reached 3 billion Euros in the year 2018.

1. Increasing Internet Users

Users are increasing day by day. Previously, Android phones were not so ordinary, but now most people have this magical device, and they search for products they are planning to purchase online. According to data reported, there are almost 875,000 new users on the internet every day. Globally, internet users are increasing by 7% annually. E-commerce is gaining huge importance; the seller creates a website and lists the products with description and price. There are several websites on the internet for various businesses, effective for small, medium and large companies.

2. Competition In Market

Being present online is a need of the hour. Competition is tough in the market for almost every business; lacking behind from any angle will allow competitors to overtake your position. Make it clear in your head that every business is trying to be present on the internet, whether through a website or different social media platforms. That is because people want to know about you.

3. Digitalization

Traditional marketing has been replaced by digital marketing. A growing trend of selling and purchasing online can be observed clearly at this time. Digitalization is growing at its peak; there may be no concept of paper currency shortly. In Singapore, in 2019, 90% of Singaporean enterprises used the e-payment method. Keeping pace with others is a good idea for being successful. For example, if you are selling a refrigerator or air conditioner, the chances of sales increase if digital marketing techniques are utilized. You can give discounts and offers and spread the word through the website and social media business pages.

A survey conducted in the United States found a 0.61% decrease in traditional marketing while digital marketing increased up to 14.32%.

4.Online Marketing and Accessibility

All the top brands Nike, Pepsi, Adidas, Gucci etc., have well-organized websites and social media pages to engage the fans and customers. Websites and social media platforms allow you to reach a large community around the globe. If you have a brand, it is easier to promote it online around the world. Small businesses also display the items available on the online store on the website to easily add products to their cart. Online payment is made, after which the items are delivered at the doorsteps of the customers. The best example to quote here is Amazon.

Running the ads online is comparatively easier. Being not present online becomes a weakness in your marketing strategy. And you will lack hundreds of your precious customers.

5. Targeted Audience

It is far easier to reach the target audience online. Internet, website, social media, email allows you to get the targeted audience. There are functions available online that will enable you to know to calculate the clicks, purchases, and time spent on the website. You can promote your business and divert your efforts towards the people who show interest rather than wasting time on the general audience. A survey conducted in March 2020 and published on Statista disclosed that 40% of the respondents used the clicks to target the audience while 39% targeted the audience for digital marketing who purchased products previously.

Conclusion

The increasing competition in the market, digitalization, online marketing and accessibility, and targeting the right audience are some of the causes that indicate that if you are not present online, you will not be able to make your business grow to attract customers.
