“In the context of the book as an object, the key difference between Formless and Definite Content is the interaction between the content and the page.” I thought this quote from the author was very interesting. It’s such a broad concept that it’s difficult to imagine when you, the reader, are actually reading something.

As far as understanding written books in the age of the IPads, it’s obvious that written novels are slowly becoming obsolete. With google books attaining more and more digitized copies every year, It’s difficult to imagine that written copies will still be needed. Strangely, I also found myself looking at this from an evolutionary standpoint. Our eyes are becoming more and more adapted to LED screens. We literally stare at them all day long. At a point, staring at an LED screen reading a book with soon become more natural than actually opening up a hard copy. But, you never know. Who knows what the future holds for printed copies. Sometimes you just can’t beat the classics.
