Support for your coursework
Everything you need to know about using screenshots, images, referencing information, being critical and editing images.
You might be thinking:
“Why do i need to read about finding copyright free images and attributing then correctly?”
or
“What’s so important about being critical? I know how to do it already”.
In Digital Society you have to submit two pieces of coursework (digisoc1 and digisoc 3) in the form of blog posts using the Medium platform which is open and accessible to anyone. Using and attributing images properly and being critical in your coursework is highlighted in the learning outcomes and marking criteria so it is key in order for you to gain the highest marks.
This means that it important that you think about how you use and share information in your coursework and develop your understanding of Intellectual property.
The pages below will provide you with the guidance on using screenshots and images in your blog posts and PechaKucha.
Although Digital Society is probably a bit different from your usual academic courses we still expect you to reference properly in your blog post submissions and the PechaKucha presentation. Check out the this advice page for referencing in your coursework.
Developing your critical skills is a useful skill for Digital Society and also for your overall academic studies. Guidance about being critical in your reading thinking and writing can be accessed below.
You can publish a blog post quite easily on Medium but how about using its tools to create a more effective and engaging post? Access the link below for a range of extra tips on posting to Medium.
