A unique editing and personality. Emma Chamberlain, a young successful Youtuber and saleswoman, changed the online world video with her sense of humor, craziness and her warm closeness with her followers.

The 20 years old girl who created the “Being retable” videos and built her audicience from scratch on Youtube.

If you haven’t heard about Emma Chamberlain, she is an American Youtuber who made her beginnings in 2016, and now she counts with 11,3 million subscribers on YouTube. In addition to her Instagram constantly increasing with over 15,1 million followers. A girl who simply loved creating content about her daily life, fashion and a looot of coffee drinking, turned into a new phenomenon on the Internet.

YouTube and her authenticity

Her honest and transparent personality makes millions of people love her. Emma talks to her camera as if it’s her, friend and the viewer can easily feel that bond. Indeed, she has a solid and supporting audience, among them, who identify themselves with her and feel comfortable.

Her personality and authencity reflects and shows up immediately on her videos: she can be cooking, taking a nap, talking and suddenly changes the topic. She doesn’t care if she burps or if she cooks something and it looks not-that-good.

However, her editing style is pretty unique. It’s one of the subscriber’s favorite things and it even inspired other youtubers to try it out (I tried editing like emma chamberlain in Poland).

The previous editing style was dense, but since a few months she started a whole new editing format. It’s more simple, with long scenes, sometimes less talking with background music.

Even the vlog’s titles are becoming shorter, with simple words holding somehow an interesting vibe.

“I’m trying to make the stuff that I’m filming more dynamic so that when I’m editing there’s less pressure on me to kind of create something that’s not there,” — she said on NYT

You may think making videos must be easy, but she admitted to work 20–30 hours for a single video. Her fans know she is a serious and really hardworking person.

Evolving into a coffee brand check!

At the age of only 19, she launched her own online mail order coffee company and website: Chamberlain Coffee. Even if we see Emma always drinking coffee and how she talks about it, it surprised everyone. Nevertheless, what makes her brand stand out is Emma turning out her coffee goods into brand-new looks.

Her products are sold out and her fans check out her website quite frequently (included me, I really want the Transparent Tumblr!)

Podcast: a warmer place for her followers

Emma did not stop there, with the launch of her podcast “Anything goes”, it is ranked #11 on Spotify: United States: Top Podcasts. It is available on Spotify and iTunes.

She uploads every Thursday, being consistent is the key. Emma talks about everything, gives advices and opens more to her supporters. It is a great platform to gain more visibility, but also to deepen her connection with others.

Emma changed the Gen Z vision of retable content, and other generations. How will she evolve and the retable content as well?
