Storytelling with interviews (July 10, 2021)

I had a great interview with Mr. Musthak, who is currently working as a Data Entry operator in a well-known tea company and his hobby is to travel around Sri Lanka on every weekend and vacation. We discussed the interesting experiences of his travel journeys and his views on the limitations of his movement in the face of the corona pandemic situation. Interviewing him gave me amazing ideas about many interesting and unknown facts about the trips.

He said the main reason for traveling was his job. As a data entry operator, he has to work with machinery every day of the week and traveling is a good way to get rid of problems. He pointed out that traveling can heal the mind and body and help to work again with excitement and energetic. From his childhood till today he has visited many famous places in Sri Lanka. Among them he recommended several places for others to travel like Sigiriya, Galle fort, Ella and the world’s end.

He often prefers motorbike to his journeys. He explained to us that riding a motorcycle is a different experience and that’s adventurous, challenging and you can enjoy freedom and independence to the fullest. He answered our questions very well during the interview.

Then we asked him “What happened to his travel hobby due to the travel restrictions and lockdowns?”. Then he became bit emotional. His silence showed how much he misses his adventures trips. Later he said that “Nowadays with the AR, VR technology at least I can discover the beautiful places the around world at my home”. And also, he said that He will give his full support to prevent Covid 19 situation by restricting his travels.
