The Miracle of History

History is a wonderful subject that teaches us new things more than we expect. There is a word “story” in the words of “history”. Always stories are united and change people. But many people in this world hate history and they do not like to study it. But today I hope to talk about a beautiful side I see in Learning History.
Everything that happened in the past belongs to history. I was very active when I was a kid. So, my mom told stories to get my attention. She told me stories of kings, ancient kingdoms, legends, different religions, interesting political history and more exciting stories. All of that increased my curiosity. That curiosity was the main reason I started to fall in love with history.
There are some of my favourite things in history. I called them the “Miracle of History.”
Learning history give us a clear understanding of our environment, our society and the world. Most of time We can have a better understanding of what is going on in our society or world than anyone else. Because we are more likely to compare what is happening now with history. This is very useful for us in every situation. And also We can easily identify the most important places and things around us, make other people aware and protect it.
History builds social peace. We can find unity and coexistence by exploring the history and culture of other religions and ethical groups. If we know their story, if they know our story, there will be a world without conflict. History teaches us to respect other religions and cultures. That is the wonderful side of history.
There is another amazing fact in history, that is, “Building the future through past experiences”. For example, we also study the life stories of famous people in the world, through which we seek some advice, ideas and build our own future. Wings of Fire, Long Walk to Freedom by Nelson Mandela, Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson, A beautiful mind by Sylvia Nasar and Rosemary: The hidden Kennedy daughter by Kate Clifford Larson are some of famous biography books.
There is another important advantage in the learning history of our country. That increase Patriotism and nationalism about the country. History also has economic advantages. By promoting historical sites in our country, the tourism industry can be developed and foreign currency can be obtained. Many people like to visit countries like Egypt, Rome and Greece to see its historical sites.
Why do people dislike to learn history?
The most common answer people say is “it’s boring or a waste of time.” Some say it is too complicated to understand. Many of them think that history is just a memorizing of what happened in the past, the names of kings and years. But unknowingly we use our knowledge of the history in our daily lives. For example, if a valuable item in your hand falls and breaks, you will do your best to protect your other items next time. Because you learned a lesson from your past experiences.
The main purpose of studying history is to understand the world and people. It helps not to repeat the mistakes of the past and to build peace and live-in harmony.
How to get started to learn history?
History is everywhere. Everything has a history. when you hear the word “History” don’t go so far in your mind, remember yesterday also part of History. The best way to learn history is to discover, observe and explore. Always set your own way to discover history. Watching movies and dramas, reading inspired biographies, visiting museums or famous places near you are some of the fun ways to study history.
