Every year, the Europeana Initiative runs the Digital Storytelling Festival. The international event encourages cultural heritage professionals, educators, creatives, and students from Europe and beyond to boost their storytelling skills and tell stories exploring culture. We hope to inspire participants to create connections between art, culture and history and the contemporary world.

Two-day creative online event

This year’s two-day, online event runs on May 21–22. We hope our two-day event of talks, showcases and hands-on workshops will inspire participants to create connections between art, culture and history and the contemporary world.

Online Creative Residency

As well as our online festival, we’re also running our second Online Creative Residency, which brings students and new professionals who want to gain storytelling skills in a professional setting together with experts in a range of formats.

This year, to add to writing, social media and animation, we’re introducing two new formats — collage art and storytelling with 3D — and we’re looking for creative, enthusiastic and committed participants to join us!
