When getting started with virtual photography in Twinmotion, you can get the software in free Community Edition and Education versions. My personal recommendation is to use version EDU 2023 because this will allow image exports at high resolution (e.g. 4K or 8K images) without a watermark. If you go with the newer Community Edition, expect a limitation of HD resolution image output with a watermark.

To download Twinmotion, you need to install the EpicGames store app, and within that app, you install Twinmotion (you can select from different versions there).

You will also want to install Quixel Bridge, which allows you to download free textures and objects that you can import into your TwinMotion projects.

This tutorial has an intro to Twinmotion at the start. You can skip the Sketchup stuff unless you happen to be interested in Sketchup, but one thing worth knowing about Sketchup is that there’s a huge 3D asset marketplace. associated with it and you can generally import Sketchup assets into TM. It’s a few years old, so a few user interface aspects may be a tad different, but TM’s UI hasn’t changed much over the years and you can probably easily figure out the differences:
