The Definitive Guide to UNLEASH America 2018
A new business paradigm has emerged and it’s demanding a new take on leadership.
Retaining premier talent, establishing a strong brand, and increasing revenue are timeless goals for company leaders. But the need to achieve digital adoption, build greater trust, and innovate in an increasingly competitive digital landscape are executives’ next big hurdles.
These challenges will take center stage at the upcoming UNLEASH America conference in Las Vegas.
Lead your company through digital disruption with confidence.
From May 15–16, more than 100 esteemed executives and thought leaders will meet to discuss topics spanning the future of work, talent management, technology, and everything in between.
What is UNLEASH?
UNLEASH, previously HR Tech World, is the largest corporate network focused on the future of work, specifically the relationships between people, companies, and technology.
The network addresses the need to determine how and which technology can improve human resource management, unlock the potential of company workforces and produce the greatest value for customers today and in the future. Its global events create a platform to bring together leaders, influencers, vendors, and entrepreneurs who are shaping the future of work.
What you need to know about UNLEASH America in Las Vegas
The upcoming HR tech event in Las Vegas is one of three the organization is hosting in 2018. The UNLEASH Conference & Expo in London took place in March, and the UNLEASH World Conference & Expo will be held in Amsterdam this October.
The expected 2,000 decision makers attending UNLEASH America in Las Vegas include CEOs, CIOs, CHROs, and other executives from leading global enterprises.
Conference logistics
The Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas will host this year’s UNLEASH America. If coming to Vegas for the event isn’t exciting enough, guests should get hyped about the venue.
The Aria is a multi-award winning hotel. The agenda is packed with presentations covering a wide range of topics, including HR tech, talent recruitment and management, digital adoption, employee learning and development, well-being and inclusion, product demos, and more.

Your packing list
For conference regulars, packing for UNLEASH America will be a breeze.
Bring the basics:
- At least two business professional outfits. Keep in mind that Vegas in mid-May is already hot (high 80s-low 90s Fahrenheit), so be prepared for hot weather outside, and air conditioning inside.
- Nightlife attire (whatever that means to you). There are few places on earth with more evening activities to choose from than Las Vegas. Whether you fancy a nice cocktail bar, a show, or gambling, there are plenty of options to suit all tastes.
- Business cards. They haven’t become obsolete yet. Remember this tip: Bring twice as many as you think you’ll need, then bring some more.
- A watch. It’s just plain old rude to pull out your phone to check the time when speaking to someone, especially if you’re networking with someone new.
- Chargers galore. Whether you prefer to do your note-taking and connecting on a laptop, tablet, or phone, make sure you bring the necessary chargers for all of your mobile devices.
Getting around
The event will take place inside the hotel, but there are various modes of transportation available for exploring the city.
The concierge at the Aria can help guests arrange limousines, town cars, and public transportation to and from the hotel.
The Aria Express Tram, which runs on an elevated electric track, connects the hotel to the Bellagio, Vdara, Monte Carlo, and the Shops at Crystals. Guests who prefer to use ride hailing apps like Uber and Lyft are also welcome to do so.
