A Guide to XDB Portal

In this article we go through a step-by-step process of setting up an account using XDB Portal, DigitalBits inaugural wallet solution.

Step:1 — Go to XDB Portal

Step 2 — Select “Public” to ensure you are operating on DigitalBits Mainnet

Step 3 — Select “Keypair Generator” — the generator creates a public and private keypair, but does not create an account. In order for the account to exist, it must receive a starting balance, an anti-spam measure to preventing potential flooding of the network by malicious entities.

Step 4 — The public key provides a destination for tokens to be delivered. You can provide your DigitalBits address (your public key) in order to receive XDB tokens when they are distributed, after which you will have a functioning wallet and XDB tokens.

Step 5 — In order to access and utilize these tokens, you will have to enter your private key, or secret seed, on XDB Portal. No XDB tokens have been distributed as of yet, and as such these features will not yet be able to you. At the time of writing, your public addresses can be thought of as an “agreed destination point” for when the tokens are released and distributed.
