As of the 1st of January 2023, the native token of the DigitalBits blockchain, known as XDB mainnet, is now officially running only on the native blockchain; the 1:1 token exchange with the XDB ERC-20 token was completed on the 31st of December 2022, with full disclosure. Participating exchanges, including Digifinex, Gate, KuCoin, brokerage platform Bitpanda, and regulated fiat-crypto exchange Coinbar have all successfully supported this process. Following the swap, the participating exchanges have discontinued all references to XDB ERC-20 and will only deal with XDB mainnet transactions, such as deposits and withdrawals. All inflows and outflows run on the DigitalBits chain. All the digitalbits ERC-20 tokens (XDB) currently held on a non-custodial Ethereum wallet (for example, Metamask, Trezor, or Ledger) which have not been swapped according to the disclosed timeline will no longer be usable by any means in connection with DigitalBits project.

With the end of this token swap process (started in August 2022), the DigitalBits ecosystem is now entering into a product-focused journey by prioritizing the creation of custom assets (branded cryptocurrencies), the integration of POS and payment processors as well the creation of new token utility.
