Dear Community,

On the 30th of June 2022, DigitalBits Foundation announced that the native token of the DigitalBits blockchain, already known as XDB mainnet, would have gone through a 1:1 token swap process with XDB ERC-20 token. This process has been fully supported by participating exchanges like Digifinex, Gate, and KuCoin and the brokerage platform Bitpanda.

Furthermore, it has been disclosed that “due to technical roadmap, Bittrex Global didn’t meet the timeline of DigitalBits mainnet token swap to timely integrate the new chain.”

This swap process has been straightforward for the participating exchange’s users, who were asked to do nothing more than deposit and wait. Following the swap, the participating exchanges have removed any reference to XDB ERC-20 and will only allow it to deal with XDB mainnet. At the beginning of October, DigitalBits Foundation announced that participating exchange KuCoin had fully integrated the DigitalBits blockchain and had set a token swap cut-off day (Oct 7th, 2022) as the last chance to swap XDB-ERC20 to XDB mainnet tokens; Followed by 3 days of countdown campaigns on social media to inform the whole community appropriately.

Because a minority of users did not make the XDB-ERC20 to XDB mainnet swap within the KuCoin cutt-off time, DigitalBits ecosystem’s partner Coinbar, a fully regulated fiat-crypto exchange by the Italian regulator, has completed integration with DigitalBits blockchain and introduced a new solution that extended the token swap cut-off, starting October 18th, 2022 ending 31 December 2022. For further information, please follow the social media of Coinbar. In summary, it will be possible to deposit the XDB ERC-20 tokens and have them seamlessly swapped to XDB mainnet tokens without further user interaction. This solution is the last chance for XDB ERC-20 token holders to deposit and swap them into XDB mainnet. As of Jan 1st, 2023 ERC-20 will no longer be active in any participating exchange.

Note: If you own digitalbits ERC-20 tokens (XDB) in a non-custodial Ethereum wallet (e.g. Metamask, Trezor, Ledger), you must swap them by following the instructions above.

Disclaimer: if you do not swap digitalbits ERC-20 (XDB) tokens with digitalbits mainnet (XDB) within the disclosed time limit and with compliance of the process, you will no longer be able to use, redeem or exchange your ERC-20 tokens by any means. DigitalBits Foundation will not be responsible for any missed token-swap. The digitalbits ERC-20 (XDB) token will be progressively removed from token tracking websites and replaced by digitalbits mainnet (XDB). The non-swapped digitalbits ERC-20 tokens will be permanently removed from circulation as of Jan 1st 2023.
