XDB Foundation Community Update
DigitalBits Community!
It’s been an extremely exciting year thus far, and things are only going to get crazier. As we approach the end of Q1, the Foundation is on track to hit it’s objectives, as of right now we have 4 milestones outstanding! What some of you may not have noticed however is that some of these milestones are already accessible. We’ll be following up with official communications for these products, but we are pleased to announce that the DigitalBits Wallet is now available for iOS and Android, and can be found on the App Store and Google Play Store!
This version 1 of the DigitalBits Wallet will support all ERC20s, and is the first wallet to support both XDB and ZUSD upon download. As we shift towards a consumer facing mainnet later this year, the DigitalBits Wallet will act as a hub for not only XDB and ZUSD, but branded stablecoins, branded cryptocurrencies and the plethora of assets that will exist within the DigitalBits ecosystem.
Additionally, you are also able to use the XDB Portal via the DigitalBits Testnet. Within XDB Portal, you’ll be able to experiment with a number of operations that can be performed on the DigitalBits blockchain, including creating accounts, issuing trustlines, issuing assets, as well as the transfer and trading of both native and non-native assets. We invite you all to dive in, try out the technology, and we welcome your feedback!
We’d also like to announce another exciting initiative that we will be launching called the XDB Creator Series, a series of global community activations starting with #XDBTube. This competition will challenge the XDB community to put together their most engaging DigitalBits content, for which you will be rewarded in $XDB accordingly based on a community vote! The rules are pretty simple, create a video, mention DigitalBits in a meaningful way — the entirety of your video need not be about DigitalBits, feel free to discuss any of the associated technology, branded stablecoins, branded currencies, non-fungible tokens, esports and gaming etc., but you must mention DigitalBits and share the video with the #XDBTube! Prizes will fall into four categories: views, likes, XDB Army pick, and XDB Foundation pick. More details on prizes will be included in our official communication!
The XDB Army has grown to be one of the most vibrant communities within the space. Our different channels have become a hotspot for engaging conversation and we’ve witnessed many community members take on heightened roles. The explosion in affiliate groups is indicative of the passion this community has for taking DigitalBits truly global! We are in the midst of exploring opportunities with a number of different influencers who can provide significant exposure to DigitalBits as well as the wider blockchain community.
We’ve got a very exciting year ahead of us. The space as a whole is moving forward at an alarming rate with more and more blockchain applications seeing real implementation, adoption and real world usefulness. Our remaining milestones of Sputnik were strategically put in place to lay the foundation for what’s to come in Luna, and we look forward to all of you coming with us on this journey. To the Moon, to Mars, and beyond!
