XDB Foundation Presents Branded Stablecoins at First-Ever World Stablecoin Summit

Very excited to announce the XDB Foundation’s participation in the World Stablecoin Summit (WSC), the largest meeting of the minds within the stablecoin community. Hosted by the World Stablecoin Association (WSA), the WSC will be streamed on Zoom, Youtube and in the Crypto Convention Center in Decentraland. Decentraland is a blockchain based virtual world, and will allow participants to explore booths and speaking calls, allowing for an immersive experience during these unprecedented times. Both XDB Foundation Managing Director, Michael Gord, and Head of Research & Community, Rajiv Naidoo, will be making appearances at the Summit, with DigitalBits being the only project to present on the emerging asset category of branded stablecoins. Excited to see you all there!
The next stage in the evolution of price stable assets, branded stablecoins can move beyond simply combining stability with blockchain technology, to enhancing the relationship and value that exists between brands and consumers. Branded stablecoins, and the broader realm of branded currencies, gained increased traction in 2019 with the inception of Facebook’s Libra Project, and Walmart’s stablecoin patent.
