The XDB Foundation would like to congratulate Zytara, a fintech firm planning to launch a digital banking platform and payment network, on their recent partnership with top esports team Dignitas. Dignitas is a prolific name within the esports industry, winning 18 world championships and housing 34 world champion gamers. The partnership kicks off with the release of several uniquely designed Dignitas-branded Zytara debit cards and app skins. These will all reflect the recent Dignitas rebrand, a nod to the original Dignitas, one of the most historic brands in esports history. Zytara and Dignitas will also collaborate on a wide range of content focused on financial solutions for gamers.

How can blockchain benefit gaming?

  • Monetization of in-game currency across a global ecosystem
  • Enable real-time payment transfers 24/7/365
  • Resolve many of the issues with global tournament prize payouts
  • Enhance fan engagement
  • Programmable incentives for gamers

Zytara recently announced the development of the Zytara dollar (ZUSD), a stablecoin issued in partnership with Prime Trust. ZUSD is digital money that can be sent and received like email, designed for the future of finance, esports and gaming, in addition to countless other applications. Stablecoins and blockchain technology can address numerous frictions present within esports today, including but not limited to, payments and value transfer. ZUSD is slated to be issued on the DigitalBits blockchain this year, allowing it to benefit from DigitalBits’ high transaction throughput (+10 000 TPS) and fast confirmation times (3–5 seconds).

“As a member of the DigitalBits ecosystem, we’re extremely excited to see this partnership between Zytara and Dignitas announced. This is a huge step towards driving financial inclusion and literacy for the gaming community — a massive, global audience set to breach 3 billion in the next few years. Global brands such as Dignitas brings further confirmation to the value that financial innovation can bring to the esports industry.” — Michael Gord, XDB Foundation Managing Director
