DigitalCPR is a creative studio, pre-accelerator and firm. However, we are open to having guest posts on our publication. For those who are interested, our writing guidelines are below:

Images

We prefer custom designed thumbnails for images. If you have to use Canva to design the thumbnail, that is fine too. Thumbnails that are engaging and garnish the user’s attention is what is preferred.

If you absolutely have to, you can use a royalty free or purchased image but make sure to leave an attribution in the caption.

Please design or pick images in a way that takes into consideration that Medium sometimes cuts the top and bottom of the images depending on the browser and page preview.

We want all images to be HD, meaning 1280*720 or 2560*1440, etc.

Topics

Please make sure to include only *one* of the following tags in your post:

And also make sure to use 4 other tags that aren’t including in this list. We don’t want someone to use more than one tag on this list, but also want to make sure people use the maximum allowed tags of 5 for good SEO in their article. An example is let us say I am doing a post on “Top 5 Sites a Web Designer Should Know About”. I would want to tag it in “Design” and perhaps chose 4 other tags like “Web, Creative, Graphics, Art”. If I tagged it “Design” already, I would not want one of the other 4 tags to be something like “Programming” or “Marketing”, because then you have overlapping topics in the same blog.

Subjects

In terms of subjects, we want to be more focused on entrepreneurship, the side hustle mindset, and building your own business. We really want the reader to be engaged with the information and learn something new.

Also please shy away from controversial topics such as anything sexual, political, or a topic outside of normalcy for a general audience. We don’t want to lose viewership or stir away the primary focus of this blog. This blog isn’t meant to be political or controversial. We may be willing to cover something controversial but it would need pre-approval first.

Please keep in mind, we reserve the right to reject an article on a subject matter we don’t see fit in our blog. A majority of the time, we will leave private notes with editorial feedback.

Hyperlinks are good ways to source or attribute information that came from a secondary source in regards to blog posts.

General Rules of Thumb:

  1. Proper grammar and English
  2. High quality HD image
  3. Follow the tagging guidelines
  4. Appropriate subject for the blog
  5. Attribute information with hyperlinks
  6. We like educational and/or engaging stuff
  7. Get creative with it and have fun!

We are okay with people promoting links to their social media and/or related products on blog posts. Please make sure you specify that those links are independent from DigitalCPR. A small note saying something like, “Follow the author of this post” and then a note saying *These links are independent from DigitalCPR and aren’t affiliated with them, would suffice.

Keep in mind that Medium.com has its own Medium Partnership guidelines, and including your social media links/and or products at the end of a post may prevent it from being eligible for monetization or a paywall. The Medium Partnership Program Guidelines are separate from our guidelines and we aren’t directly affiliated with Medium’s Partnership Program.

If you want to be added as a writer after reading all this, comment “I want to be added as a writer!” below.
