Join iDEA Award

We are proud to be working in partnership with HRH The Duke of York and Nominet Trust to create the digital Open Badges for the Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award (iDEA).

Launched this week by HRH The Duke of York and Nominet Trust, iDEA is an award scheme for 16–25 year olds with a flair for all things digital and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Over the next five years, the scheme wants to support more than one million young people to pursue their own ideas, develop their digital skills and get to grips with the reality of business.

iDEA will support young people in developing a digital business, enabling them to build prototypes and test the viability of their business idea with real customers. There are three stages to the award and at the end of each stage they will receive industry-recognised badges that reward the entrepreneurial skills and competencies they have developed.

As part of the Badge the UK project, we will be working closely with HRH The Duke of York and Nominet Trust to design Open Badges that will recognise and reward the skills young people have developed throughout the programme.

Get Involved

The Award scheme will be piloting in a cohort of schools over the summer before fully launching Autumn 2014.
