Step 1: Bring to Life
Bear buddy is so excited to meet your child. One thing though, your child’s bear buddy runs on electricity. Attach the charging cord to your child’s bear buddy’s tail and watch him be brought to life.
Note: When the bear buddy is fully charged for the first time, the heart will flash 3 times during the initial power-up. There is NO power switch.
Step 2: Set up Bear Buddy
Now that your child’s new friend is here to stay, it’s time for them to get to know one another. The first thing Bear Buddy would like to know is his new friend’s name. There are multiple ways you can go about setting up Bear Buddy: App, Spectacles, and Conversation.
· App Set-Up: The Bear Buddy App is on most devices! Just a download away on the app store from your chosen device. After installing the app, Bear Buddy can be connected via Bluetooth. You will then be prompted through the steps to set up your Bear Buddy, including the Get to Know Me questionnaire. You should be able to complete the questionnaire with your child.
· Spectacles: Grab your favorite Eye Spectacles! Your spectacles should automatically be able to connect to the nearest Bear Buddy for easy setup.
o How to: Put on your eye spectacles and they should automatically turn on. Your spectacles should be able to detect Bear Buddy immediately. You should now be able to see augmented reality visuals as well as the prompt to “Set Up Bear Buddy”. Look at the prompt and blink twice to begin set-up. From here you should be able to set up Bear Buddy and complete the Get to Know Me questionnaire with your child.
· Conversation: Your child can just talk to their new buddy! Just, Say Hi! This is the most natural and enjoyable way to set up your child’s Bear Buddy. Say Hi and tell your child to introduce themselves! It is time for your child to give bear buddy their name and after Bear Buddy will take the lead and ask your child everything, he needs to know to become your child’s best friend.

Note: Your Bear Buddy does not need to be connected to the internet. Think of your Bear buddy as a real-life being.
