Amber Grants

WomensNew established the Amber Grant to commemorate the life of Amber Wigdahl, and it was among the first online organizations to provide grants to women-owned businesses. Amber was a remarkable young woman who passed away at 19 before achieving her entrepreneurial goals. They continued her legacy by awarding a $10,000 grant to a female business owner every month and a supplementary annual $25,000 budget to any previous 12 monthly Amber Grant winners. All year round, WomensNet provides several business grants to women.

Award: $2,000 — $25,000

Deadline: Monthly

Eligibility: Identify as a woman

Atomic® Grants application 2023: Round 4

Overview: The passion collective helps women rediscover their passion and purpose.

Award: $1,500 + 3 one-on-one mentoring sessions

Eligibility: Must apply for a grant in English

Black Girl Ventures Grant

Overview: The BGV Pitch Program flips the traditional pitch experience on its head: coaching entrepreneurs, hosting a live crowdfunded pitch competition and then connecting founders to the community and professionals to support them on their journey. A key aspect is that BGV democratizes funding by allowing the audience to vote with their dollars using the Raisify platform for the founders whose pitch they favor.

Award: audience raised funds + up to $10k winnings

Deadline: November 10th

Eligibility:

  • Identify as a woman.
  • Be in business for at least a year and be revenue-generating
  • 51% owned by Black/Brown women founder(s)
  • Your business must be in good standing.

HerSuiteSpot Micro-Grants

Overview: The Yva Jourdan Foundation, Inc., in partnership with HerSuiteSpot has provided microgrants to Women of Color entrepreneurs since 2017 to assist them in starting or growing a business.

Award: $1,000 micro-grant

Deadline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis

Eligibility:

  • Businesses in the U.S. with 51% ownership by Women of Color
  • Industry exceptions apply
  • $10 fee to apply

National Kitty Fund

Overview: Mompreneurs — this grant is for you! The Kitty Fund makes small micro-investments in Moms running employer-based small businesses with two or more employees.

Award: $1,000 grants

Deadline: Pre-registration for 2024 awards is open, March 2024

Eligibility:

  • U.S.-based business owners, CEOs, or presidents who are mothers
  • A mother founded businesses
  • Cannot exceed more than $5 million in annual revenue
  • Must have 2–50 employees

NIH

Overview: The NIH and CDC offer a grant to help small businesses already working on medical projects supported by previous grants. The goal is to speed up the development and commercialization of new medical technologies.

Sponsor:

Award: This grant will provide entrepreneurship training, support travel, and other expenses related to the training program.

Deadline: November 15, 2023

Tory Birch Foundation: The Fellows Program

Overview: Each year, we select 50 women entrepreneurs for a yearlong program designed to grow their businesses through workshops, coaching sessions, network-building, and financial resources. The program ends with a company presentation and a trip to New York City.

Award: $5,000

Deadline: November 2nd, 2023

Eligibility:

  • A woman entrepreneur who owns the most significant or equal stake in a qualifying business that is majority (51% or more) owned and controlled by women
  • 21 years or older as of the application due date, November 2, 2023
  • Proficient in English
  • A legal resident of the United States and its territories
