DigixDAO Official launch on 30 March 2019
After 3 years of development and testing, we are excited to launch the anticipated DigixDAO governance platform on 30th March 2019 11:00SGT.
We are hosting a Preview Event with some of Digix’s partners on Thursday, 28th March 2019, 7:00 pm.
It will be an educational evening to learn about DAOs from other fellow DAO builders and be the first to see a live demonstration of how DigixDAO works. Guests will also hear from an insightful panel of other DAOs, including Digix, Kyber and Maker.
We will officially announce our DigixDAO website address on 28th March as well.
In light of developing regulations, we will not be able to accept participation on our DigixDAO Platform to these countries:
AFGHANISTAN, ALBANIA, BELARUS, BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA, BURUNDI, CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC, COTE DIVOIRE, CUBA, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO, ETHIOPIA, GUINEA, GUINEA-BISSAU, IRAN, IRAQ, LEBANON, LIBERIA, LIBYA, NORTH KOREA, REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, SERBIA, SOMALIA, SOUTH SUDAN, SUDAN, SYRIA, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO, TUNISIA, UGANDA, UKRAINE, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (USA), VENEZUELA, YEMEN AND ZIMBABWE (TOGETHER, THE “RESTRICTED JURISDICTIONS”).
Due to the recent regulatory developments and challenges that accepting US participation on the DigixDAO platform could entail, and based on US legal advice that we have obtained, we will not be able to allow USA Citizens nor residents to participate in the DigixDAO governance platform at the moment. We will, however, continue to push for legal clarity and follow closely the rules and regulatory developments in the USA. Having our products in the USA still remains a priority and we will update this as soon as the situation changes.

Digix AMA with the founders on Reddit

Ethereum co-founder and creator, Vitalik Buterin, alongside regional leaders from the Ethereum Meetup communities of Asia, gathered in Hong Kong to host the inaugural Asia Region Ethereum SuperMeetup. This was attended by Meetups including Ethereum Taipei, Seoul, Tokyo, Philippines, Sydney, Hanoi, and Jakarta. Vitalik Buterin, together with Shaun Djie, COO of Digix, provided invaluable insight into what 2019 has in store for the development of the decentralised platform.

Spend DGX for F&B at Lan Kwai Fong
During Token Day in HongKong on 12 -14 March, BizKey together with MakerDAO, Digix, HKX, and other stable-coins initiated a project to make cryptocurrency spendable for food and beverages at Lan Kwai Fong. Customers were able to directly top-up DGX into their Bizkey wallets for payments.
Blockchain enthusiasts from over 10 different countries participated in this project, including Tron CEO Justin Sun, Litecoin founder Charlie Lee and Ethereum co-founder Charles Hoskinson.
