Passive income — how much can you earn with 50+ DIMTOKENs?
What is a DIMTOKEN?
First of all, let me explain what a DIMTOKEN is. If you already know this, you can skip this part.
A DIMTOKEN is a proof of membership in the DIM Ecosystem and there is only a total of 10 million DIMTOKENs. 30% of the collected volume transferring fees are distributed to the DIMTOKEN holders. If you hold a minimum of 50 DIMTOKENs you are entitled to a piece of the volume transferring fees collected in the Ecosystem. You must hold a minimum of 50 DIMTOKENs in your wallet (DEPOTWALLET or Nanowallet) to receive your share of the fees. Fees will be paid in DIM Currencies or DIMCOINs.
What’s the meaning of “volume transferring fee” you might think? Volume transferring fees is collected when a user sends an asset to another wallet. An example of this could be that user A transfer 1.000 DIMCOINs to user B. This will generate a fee of 0.1% of the 1.000 DIMCOINS = 1 DIMCOIN in fee.
How much can you earn if you hold 50 DIMTOKENs?
Let’s get into the exciting part of this post. As mentioned 30% of the fees collected will be distributed to the holders of DIMTOKENs. There are 2 types of fees in the ecosystem:
- Cryptonized Equities will have a 0.5% fee of the transferred volume
- DIMCOIN, DIM Currencies, and DIM Crypto-currencies will have a 0.1% fee of the transferred volume
To keep this post simple I will only use the 0.1% fees in the calculations.
As explained above it all depends on the amount of money transferred around in the Ecosystem. Let’s break it down:
Let’s assume that the payout takes place each month so if there’s a total volume of 1.000.000.000 USD transferred around in the Ecosystem in a given month, then the total collected fees will be 1 million USD. 30% of the 1 million = 300.000 USD that will be distributed to the DIMTOKEN holders. Each DIMTOKEN will receive 0.03 USD. Since the minimum is 50 DIMTOKENs, you will receive 1.5 USD in total. The current price of DIMTOKENs is around 50 cents. You will therefore receive a return of 6% on your investment each month. In my world that’s a pretty good return.
You might think that 1.5 USD each month is not worth your time, but have in mind that the calculation is based on 50 DIMTOKENs (25 USD investment at the moment). Buy more and receive more.
It’s also worth noticing that 1 billion in transferred volume is not huge and a conservative estimate. Have in mind that each time you move assets around the in the Ecosystem it will generate fees. Every time you move:
- Stocks
- Crypto
- Financial instruments
- Currencies
- Other assets
- Even when you buy products/selling products through DIMPAY
- Paying rent, utilities etc through DIMPAY
- When listing stocks (IPO) they have to move the assets in and the money out
- Listing coins on CryptoXchange and much much more
After buying assets on HYBSE you will always move it to your wallet = generating fees to DIMTOKEN holders.
