Street Food Festival

1–9 September

Location: Cape Town Cruise Terminal, V&A Waterfront

The annual Street Food Festival is back for a 5th time to celebrate street food in its varied forms, paying homage to authentic South African food culture by embracing street foods, pavement-style.

Following the success of previous years, in 2018 the Street Food Festival will be expanding to include 10 days of festivities. Smaller pop-up events like food walks, and food movie screenings will lead up to the two big market weekends in Cape Town and Johannesburg dishing up all the good things visitors have come to expect: local food talent serving your crispy, saucy, fried or fresh pavement-favourites and live DJ’s spinning the soundtrack to the day.

You can also look forward to listening to several food entrepreneurs and a few of the long-established and successful players in the local food industry will host food-related ‘Crate Talks.’ The festival kicks off on the 31st of August with an opening party at THOM. Check out their website for the rest of the 10 day line up!
