DingTalk 4.0 Release: Introducing the first “Streamline Mode”
On October 24th DingTalk Introduced DingTalk 4.0. The major new feature of 4.0 is “Streamline mode” which aims to promote employee efficiency. In addition to “Streamline mode”, version 4.0 also includes the new “DING calendar”, new “DING Knowledge Center” and enhanced iOS11 and iPad calibration
4.0’s “Streamline mode” key feature is the filtering of unrelated work messages in order to enhance employee efficiency. Employees have become overloaded with information from multiple channels such as email, real-time messaging, text and social media. This has resulted in important messages being drowned out by channel noise. According to the DingTalk 4.0 product developer the “Streamline mode” was developed as the solution to this problem in addition to providing a more refreshing homepage for users.
“Streamline mode” has two major features to deal with channel noise, the first is the filtering of unrelated work/project messages. DingTalk will automatically filter out new and unrelated messages in order to avoid distracting employees from their work. Only relevant messages will be sent to the employees’ DingTalk. The second feature is the grouping of messages by priority, single chat, group chat and other groups. This results in more efficient and convenient message management.
Earlier in October, DingTalk continued to make progress in the company’s goal of becoming the industry leader for Intelligent Business Offices by 2020, with the release of their new generation hardware “DingTalk Smart Front Office”. “Smart Front Office” seamlessly integrates with DingTalk software to record staff attendance and act as receptionist for businesses.
