An ideal user of the DingTalk platform is a small-medium enterprise that have multiple departments within their company. DingTalk is specifically beneficial for these types of organizations as it focuses on efficiency and transparency.

As an employee
In many organizations there is often a sense of significant power gaps between upper management and employees. Employees are hesitant to send an email to someone senior within an organization. Having an open contact platform for all staff members removes some of the ‘mystery’ behind senior members of the organization. Employees feel more at ease sending a message to someone senior in the organization via a chat window as there is a more personal feel to this form of communication, rather than an Email where there is uncertainty if the message has been seen by the recipient.

Staff attendance
The staff attendance management feature allows for increased transparency within the organization as it can monitor which staff members are working . This can also help management monitor employees workloads to avoid burnout and reward employees who are going over and above their allotted hours while ensuring employees are not doing less than their required hours.

Company-wide Announcements
Traditionally companies would use email for company-wide announcements, often these announcements would be missed by a large number of employees. By using DingTalk, company announcements are easily viewed and consumed by staff members as the announcement is delivered straight to individual DingTalk chat window alongside notification. With the increasing usage of social media and digital platforms, users have become more accustomed to receiving notifications in this manner, therefore increasing the likelihood of viewing by employees.

Grouping Employees
DingTalk allows for the creation of groups based on departments and projects. This fundamentally increases the efficiency in a number of key areas:

1. Employees involved in a project are centralized in one area
2. Other staff members not involved in the project cannot interfere
3. Team-members can quickly communicate with each other
4. Files can be shared with team-members

As a result of these factors, there is a fundamental shift in how work projects can be assigned, delivered and executed.
