Right At Home: Welcoming Dinner for Professor Richard Vietor

The Philippines — a tropical country of 7,641 islands rich in biodiversity is recognized as one the world’s most welcoming country according to InterNations’ recently conducted annual Expat Insider Survey. From festivals to parties, the Filipinos sure know how to make any foreigner feel comfortable in such a different setting. Hence, it was only natural for the Filipino Harvard Business School (HBS) graduates to showcase this characteristic by gathering on the evening of August 6, 2017 at the exquisite French restaurant, Mirèio Salon at Raffles Makati, to welcome the much anticipated HBS Professor Richard H.K. Vietor.

By half past 6, upon the arrival of the Professor, the alums began to gravitate right towards him in hopes of having the chance to personally engage.

Not too long after, co-president of the HBS Club of the Philippines, Henry Motte- Munoz (MBA 2013) welcomed the intimate group and the Professor along with sharing gratitude towards Harvard Alumni Association Director for Asia, Carol Dominguez (AMP 182) for hosting the event. As impeccable French cuisine was served, the room quickly filled with stories of all sorts. With the time quickly ticking away, the mellow atmosphere came to an end with the last impression of the Professor feeling right at home.
