Hey,

Just a quick note on a Sunny Saturday in Manchester before I go out and enjoy some of the sun.

I always tried to tag my blog with things like Disabled or Disability, but often this leads to our voices echoing around within our own community.

It is really important that our blogs reach people similar to ourselves. BUT, our voices need to be heard by those outside too. It’s those who will make the change for us, after we constantly shout what we need.

What I wanted to do was share what some of tags that the readers of my boosted blogs follow. It may be different to what you expect.

Psychology

Mental Health

Writing

Science

Culture

Society

Equality

Technology

Health

Relationships

When you are sharing a lived experience story in a blog, imagine you were non disabled. What would you want to tag it with then?

The more niche your tagging, the less it will get seen.

If you want your blog to be read by more people save at least three of your tags for general topics such as above and only niche down on two.

All of the above come through Medium stats within my story stats.

Now time to pick up my book and enjoy some sun.

Speak soon,

Scott
