When we examine voting trends and campaign dynamics, the role of race and gender is hard to ignore.

Voting Patterns

White Voters

In the 2024 election, White men (28% of voters) gave only 24% of their vote to Democrats, while White women (29%) gave 31%. Both demographics heavily leaned Republican, at 74% and 69%, respectively.

Black Voters

Black voters remain strong Democratic supporters, with 81% of Black men and 90% of Black women voting Democratic in 2024. However, these numbers reflect a slight decline from 2020 (87% for Black men and 93% for Black women).

Latino Voters

Latino voters are more divided: Latino men gave 53% of their vote to Democrats, and Latino women gave 59%, both showing a decrease from prior elections.

“Other Race” Voters

Support from “All Other Races” (5% of voters) for Democrats plummeted to 42% in 2024, down from 73% in 2020.
