America Needs Bernie Sanders

In this crucial moment in our history, he is the person for the job.

As the Presidential campaign churns on, there is one person who has set themselves apart from the field. That person is Senator Bernie Sanders. We know that Bernie had already set the pace for the Democratic primary prior to anybody announcing their candidacy. He helped craft the Democratic party’s platform in 2016 and public opinion has only shifted closer to his views since.

He introduced the country to Medicare for All in the last Presidential election. Now, several candidates have vowed to push for it as well although they tend to waffle on eliminating private insurers. Bernie also pushed the idea of a living wage for everyone. $15 minimum wage seemed crazy just a few years ago but Connecticut just became the seventh state to make it law this past week. Facing off against Hillary Clinton, he also endorsed free public college, massive investment in our infrastructure, reigning in Wall Street, and bold action on climate change.
