Are we getting too busy?

We are all busy. Life happens.

There’s always something to distract us from getting around to certain things we know we should do and many of us take pride in how packed our schedules are, but we don’t stop to think about what our busyness actually accomplishes!

Soccer practice. Work. Home renovations. Getting that next big thing.

And with the explosion of always-on smartphones and tablets delivering a fire hose of urgent emails, not to mention Twitter and Facebook, in recent years, things have only gotten busier.

Have you thought about why you keep yourself so occupied? Were you productive?

What did you achieve?

Did you spend your time wisely?

This day is not going to come back!

Did you get a ROI on your busyness?

Many of us confuse being “busy” with being effective, or efficient.

Committing to only doing really important work takes an incredible amount of discipline.

In the backs of our minds, we know we’re neglecting some stuff we should do. But we never get around to it.

Then, something happens. A good friend or loved one — maybe close to us in age — drops dead unexpectedly. We begin to think about what our biggest regrets would be if we were suddenly sitting on our death.

You pile up enough tomorrows, and you’ll find you are left with nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays.

Sometimes your busyness is a manifestation of your fear. If you keep running and doing worthy things then you won’t have to face the scary prospect of putting our soul in charge of your life.

Once you throw the busy excuse in the bin, you start to find yourself living in the moment more. You have space. You have time.

Think and act like an Entrepreneur

You don’t need to own a company or be a CEO/CTO/Founder of a startup to think and act like an entrepreneur. Its a state of mind.

Everyone is an entrepreneur. The only skills you need to be an entrepreneur: an ability to fail, an ability to have ideas, to sell those ideas, to execute on those ideas, and to be persistent so even as you fail you learn and move onto the next adventure.

An entrepreneur never ever think of taking risks but they just take the risks. If you are really looking for motivation, just step out of your room and start meeting some really hungry entrepreneurs. They are hungry human beings with special and unique attitude and mentality. They are hungry for the success, they are hungry for their work, they are hungry for the self respect, they are the one, who has real hunger of turning their dream into reality, they never get afraid of taking action. The best part of an entrepreneur’s journey is to take action and have an “just do it now” attitude.

Your dream will never turn into reality until you get out of your tiny virtual world. Thinking and not taking action will not give you anything except frustration

The world out there is made to make us comfortable with everything.

We all are dreamers trying to escape the reality.

It’s time to end the glorification of busy.

“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.” — Chinese Proverb

You get to decide right now.

Your vision should be based on your why, not so much your what.

The question is, are you going to change anything this afternoon or tomorrow in light of this list? Or are you going to go back to your busy life?

Hey there, this is Rinkesh. If we’re meeting for the first time, I say Hi to you.If you found this helpful, consider sharing it with a friend living across the ideological divide and a 👏 is always, appreciable.
