The City of Boston has been taking bold action on climate and setting the tone for the rest of the country when it comes to developing ambitious sustainability goals. We interviewed the Office of Environment, Energy, and Open Space to learn more about the City’s vision for sustainability over the next decade.

What is Boston’s Sustainability Plan?

The City of Boston works toward a vision of environmental protection. We maintain Boston’s wealth of historic sites, buildings, landscapes, and waterways. Boston’s Climate Action Plan is committed to taking action against climate change, by preparing for its impacts and reducing carbon pollution. Programs like Carbon Free Boston and Climate Ready Boston build a more prepared, efficient, mobile, zero-waste, and healthier city now and for future generations of Bostonians.
