With the CDC currently reporting over 10,000 cases of the Coronavirus here in the United States and the massive economic fallout that’s occurred as a result in recent weeks, the government’s attempts to deal with this crisis have been both fascinating and devastating to say the least. Perhaps the figure who best embodies the weird chaos of the mess we’re in is President Donald Trump, who has been handling this exactly as one would expect. While he has fundamentally failed in a number of ways, his office has come forward with a series of proposals that caught the attention of virtually everyone paying attention to the way he is attempting to deal with the crisis. In order to alleviate some of the fears and anxieties Americans are dealing with, Trump has made coronavirus testing free, suspended evictions and foreclosures, aims to send every American Adult $1,000 dollars, and ordered a waiver on student loan interest payments (a largely symbolic move, but one that certainly sounds appealing to an apolitical American struggling with debt right now).
