Russia-Ukraine War — A case of Russia's misjudgment.

Either Russia is headed for a societal neurosis as the gap between what the Russian regime thinks and how its society has started to perceive things is increasing, ultimately leading to its downfall, or there would be a regime change that would gloriously strengthen Russia, just like the Soviet times.

The Russian-Ukraine war has taken significance beyond territoriality and developed into a moral battle crossing swords between democracy and autocracy, diplomacy and economics, and national sovereignty vs. invasion. It is a fight between an integrated yet diverse democracy well connected with the world and, on the other hand, a large but corrupt Soviet-style bureaucracy struggling to execute its poorly written script.

On May 3rd, Russia accused Ukraine of a drone strike on Kremlin. The attack was so precise and the images so spectacular that it almost looked staged and something purposefully carried out. If it was internally crafted, what does Russia gain from it? It brings home the war drama and establishes a context for a fresh social crusade against Ukraine.
