So Joe Biden’s Latest Social Media Video is a Joke.
And of course, ridiculously out of touch.
Given how everything has spiraled out of control these past five months here in the United States, the fact that we have an election on top of it in just a matter of months only ads to the whirlwind.
It’s no secret that from the very beginning, I haven’t exactly been particularly excited by the Joe Biden campaign, and the thought of him as the man the country has chosen to turn to as a viable alternative to Donald Trump only fuels my intensifying cynicism for the direction that the United States is heading. On the rare occasions that his team actually trusts him in front of a camera, the presumptive democratic nominee never ceases to disappoint with his ability to — for lack of a better term — keep his foot out of his mouth. While there have been a number of recent examples, one social media posting in particular has stood out to me given the current circumstances under which it was posted.
At a time when tens of millions of people are unemployed, an estimated 42% of jobs lost are unexpected to return, expanded unemployment benefits and eviction moratoriums just expired, children are being forced back in to classrooms, and over 150,000 people are dead, Joe Biden decided to show off his car.
