Maybe We Should Stop Defending Hunter Biden.

His actions may not have been illegal, but they were certainly unethical.

As virtually everyone with access to television or the internet has heard, an impeachment inquiry in to President Trump has finally been launched by the House of Representatives. The inquiry was launched after news broke about the President asking the Ukrainian President to investigate a gas company in their country, where Joe Biden’s son Hunter served on the board.

While there is no denying that Donald Trump’s withholding of foreign aid allotted to the Ukraine after this phone call most certainly appears illegal and should be investigated, there is an incredibly problematic and far less discussed aspect of this scandal that needs to be addressed.

In the days and weeks following the news of the phone call and the impeachment inquiry that proceeded after, many in the political and pundit class on mainstream media news outlets have been rushing to the defense of Joe Biden’s son Hunter. Some of these individuals on the left take to the television screens to argue that he has done absolutely nothing wrong, and that it’s out of bounds to involve him in any of the political battles that the President is ready to engage in with his potential democratic rival.
