Ukrainian Genocide: A Reasonable Claim Dealing with an Unreasonable and Anachronistic Definition.
We are currently writing history filled with distortions, falsifications, and acts that lack contrition. It consists of both committing and befogging us from the most heinous crime called genocide. The word “genocide” disheartens my spirit and adjures dreadful visions of horror and devastation against those mercilessly wiped off. So much violence against civilians fills me with fear. It tells me that though the world is said to have become civilized, it remains barbaric at its core. In this write-up, I share some facts about genocide and its origin and the anger the last few weeks have generated in me against the helplessness we all find ourselves in during such a human crisis.
Genocides are stimulated by radical notions about ethnicity and nationality of those different from the regime in question. A powerful vision to revolutionize and reshape society by getting rid of those who, in their opinion, ruin the homogeneity of their population is one of the leading forces behind the mass killings. It starts with discrimination and segregation along with the propaganda regarding the vicious characteristics of these populations, which later progresses into brutal purges compelled by war, crisis, and other domestic disturbances.
