These are the Jacksonville Democratic Socialists of America voting recommendations for the 2024 General Election here in Jacksonville. While our chapter has not endorsed any candidates, it is crucial that we defend ourselves and our most vulnerable community members against the fascist Republican Party as they heavily restrict bodily autonomy & healthcare for trans folks, defund Social Security & Medicare/Medicaid, fight organized labor, take aim at freedom of speech & assembly, and embolden overt white nationalists, Nazis, and neo-Confederates in our city and across the state of Florida.

I highly recommend that everyone double-check their voter registration status as soon as possible, even if you voted in the recent primary election, due to the high incidences of voter roll purges carried out by Tallahassee in recent years. From 2022–2023, nearly one million Floridians were removed from the state’s active voter registry — 90% of which were registered Democrat or No Party Affiliation voters.
