On Makara Sankranti, the triad have a distinct crown, the Makara Chula. This is the Makara Chaurashi Besha. A special rice offering is the highlight of the day. This delicacy is called Makara Chaula.

The ‘Chaurashi’ part refers to the number 84. This probably represents some other idea. I need to research a lot more into this.
