Come on! We can do better.

As the RNC found people willing to be Black puppets for their cause, CCNewsNow.com reported in a study from Dr. Denisa Gándara of the University of Texas documented bias in AI. Is anyone surprised? So, I don’t what malarky Amber Rose, Tim Scott, and other Blackish people said, but this here country has a race problem.

I really feel I could stop right there but we need to talk.

Race — the fake concept created for the purpose of the perpetuation of white supremacy. But while — you know, it has NO scientific basis — it is as real as real can get! I am a black woman. When I walk in a room, the folks see a black woman. I can talk about my multi-ethnic blood, my education, or my accomplishments, but I am seen as a black woman. That’s how society works. And for the record, I’m a proud black woman cut from the cloth of a lineage of strong black women. Point. Blank. Period.

I’m educated like my ancestors, and I’m not talking book smarts. I’m talking common sense, street smarts, whatever you like to call it. I’m smart enough when I’m being played.

They tried to play us and we can’t stand for that. Not now or ever. We can’t forget it is Republicans who advocated for banning books, many by black authors. It is Republicans who went ape $$$$ crazy about CRT. It Is Republicans who got rid of DEI programs. I know that Democrats aren’t making monumental strides in transforming this country into the most wonderful place for black folks to thrive. They fall short on a lot of measures, but at least they try to act like they’re not stomping the life out of us.

We have to do our research and stay vigilant. This political thing is a long and hard game. We have to be in it every step of the way. Believing celebs or pundits isn’t the way to go. It’s reading, talking to each other, and being involved. That’s the only way to stay strong and get our voices heard. If our ancestors could do that, and it was a lot harder for them, we can and should do the same.
