Do you think that we are experiencing a global moral crisis?

“Moral distress: Negative responses that occur when you know the ethically appropriate course of action, but can’t carry it out.” Andrew Jameton, 1984

EcoNova’s Health Research and Inquiry

“There is no silver lining to the pandemic because it is not a raincloud; it is an earthquake. Our society has been shaken and our foundations exposed. We now have an opportunity to decide what, where, and how to rebuild.” Dr Robert Biswas-Diener

Very little attention and research is focused on the growing health problems resulting from increasing moral suffering, distress and, in extreme cases, moral injury.

With this in mind, our EcoNova aspiring lifeboat initiative strives to contribute to research of the negative impact of moral injury and distress on human thriving. We also develop models, technologies and practices that are therapeutic and cultivate moral resilience and competence.
