For the sixth consecutive time, the Board of Education received the School Board Governance Award from the Illinois Association of School Boards. The Governance Award is designed to acknowledge those school boards that have engaged in activities and modeled behaviors that lead to excellence in local school governance. Our Board was one of only 33 Boards, out of 852, across the State to receive this award. Board President Chris Crabtree is honored that the Board received this award. “Receiving this award for a 6th time reflects our Board’s longstanding commitment to effective governance and leadership. This is a testament to previous Boards who laid a strong foundation in school governance and raising a high bar for those of us that have followed,” said Crabtree.
