Bridget Moore will be the new Principal of Bower Elementary beginning in the 2019–20 School Year. Mrs. Moore will replace Mr. Mark Kohlmann who is retiring in June after 33 years of dedicated service in District 200.

Mrs. Moore’s hire truly represents a coming home for her. After graduating from Wheaton North High School, Mrs. Moore received her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and immediately began her teaching career in District 200. In 2014, Mrs. Moore moved to the District Office where she served as a curriculum coordinator and then Director of Elementary Instruction. Mrs. Moore briefly left the District from 2017–2019 to serve as the Principal of Highland Elementary in Downers Grove 58.

Mrs. Moore also received a K-12 Reading Endorsement from Lewis University and an M.S. in Education in School Leadership from Benedictine University.

Superintendent Jeff Schuler is very happy that Mrs. Moore is returning to District 200 and said that “Mrs. Moore is a quality educator, leader and learner. Her deep connections and commitment to District 200 will be a tremendous asset to our school district.

Mrs. Moore is glad to be back in District 200 team and excited to join the Bower school community. “It is an honor to partner with the staff and parents to continue the tradition of excellence at Bower,” said Moore.
