Congratulations to the Flying Tigers!

District 200’s Special Olympics Basketball Team, the Flying Tigers, proudly brought home a silver medal in the State competition earlier this spring. The team is comprised of students from our two high schools and our Transition Program and is led by Coaches Gianna Hayner and Dana Eden. In case you missed some of the celebratory photos from a few weeks ago, here are a few posted on the District’s Facebook page. Our Special Olympics programming in District 200 offers four sports throughout the year — basketball, track and field, bowling and bocce. While it varies by sport, middle school through Transition aged students are eligible to participate. Go Flying Tigers!
