Dr. Jackie Rodriguez will be the next Principal of Lowell Elementary beginning in the 2019–20 School Year. Mrs. Rodriguez will replace Dr. Kathy Melton who accepted an Assistant Superintendent position in DuPage District 45 in Villa Park.

Dr. Rodriguez has been the Assistant Principal at District 200’s Johnson Elementary since 2014. Prior to that, she was an assistant principal and bilingual teacher in three schools in Chicago. Collaborative in nature, Dr. Rodriguez has extensive instructional leadership experience.

Dr. Rodriguez received a B.A. in Elementary Education from Northeastern Illinois University; an M.A. in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University; an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University; and just recently completed a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from University of St. Francis in 2018.

Superintendent Jeff Schuler is excited to introduce Dr. Rodriguez as the next Principal of Lowell Elementary. “Dr. Rodriguez’s work in District 200 has demonstrated a commitment to our students and their learning. She is a talented leader who will continue the excellent work taking place at Lowell,” said Schuler.

Dr. Rodriguez is humbled and grateful for the opportunity to join the Lowell team. “I am excited to join the Lowell community. I look forward to continuing and building on the great work and traditions at Lowell,” said Rodriguez.
