Emily Varghese hired as Assistant Principal at Johnson Elementary

Emily Varghese (front left) was welcomed at the July 10 Board Meeting by Johnson teachers (left to right) Katie Gabor, Sheryl Tucker and Eileen Fill and Principal Derick Edwards.

Emily Varghese comes to District 200 from Glen Hill Primary School in Glendale Heights, where she served as an English as a Second Language Teacher and was a member of the school’s leadership team. Prior to that, she taught at Kensington School in Wheaton. Emily received a B.S. in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University, an M.S. in Teaching and Learning with an English as a Second Language focus; and an M.A. in Education Administration from Concordia University. Emily is a District 200 resident and is looking forward to her own children attending District 200 schools. Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Emily Varghese.
