The Wheaton Warrenville South Speech Team wins 10th State Title!

The legacy of the Wheaton Warrenville South Speech Team lives on! Following a very competitive State Speech Competition, the Wheaton Warrenville South Speech Individual Team won their 10th State Title. The team also won a State Title for Performance in the Round for the second year in a row. At the March 10 Board of Education Meeting, Board members recognized the entire team. Principal Scott McDermott and Head Speech Coach David DeMarzo joined the students. Six students from the team attended the meeting to represent the rest of the team. Members of the Performance in the Round team include David Allgood, Mia Archos, Linnea Barron, Maggie Bush, Brianna Edenburn, Abbie Lindhardt, Colin O’Malley, Valentina Mosca, Jacob Purdue, Sam Rizzo, Alisa Teneqexhi. Additional 1st place finishes go to Jeremy Ferguson for Humorous Interpretation and Naomi Kelly for Radio Speaking. Congratulations to these talented students and coaches!
