District 200 School Community,

We are so excited to welcome students back for the 2021–22 School Year in just a few days. As we approach the start, we have a few updates and reminders to share with our school community.

2021–22 In-Person Learning Plan
Our In-Person Learning Plan can be found at www.cusd200.org/2021-22In-PersonLearningPlan. We will continue to update this document as additional questions arise or should guidance evolve. For specific questions about your school’s operational plans for the upcoming school year, please contact your building principal. For general questions, please contact communications@cusd200.org.

COVID-19 Testing
District 200 will be offering free, optional testing for students in our elementary, middle and high schools and Transition Program as well as all our staff members for COVID-19 infection. The State of Illinois has partnered with SHIELD to cover the cost of testing in schools. More information regarding opting into optional testing will be sent to school communities soon.

Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
District 200 will collect proof of COVID-19 vaccination from families and staff that choose to submit it. Families and staff can voluntarily submit a copy of proof of vaccine to your school health office. School nurses will collect proof of vaccine to assist in contact tracing for the upcoming school year. At this time, students and staff who have had the vaccine and are asymptomatic will not be required to quarantine if the student is a suspected close contact to a positive case.

Health Requirements
Physical examination and immunizations are required before entering school in specific grades. Health requirement information can be found here. To the extent that families are able, all documentation should be submitted to your school nurse as soon as possible and is expected by September 7. If you have questions, contact your school nurse. Please make a copy of your paperwork for your records. Families can mail forms to the school office, drop forms off at the school office or in the school mail slot or you can scan and email them to your school nurse.
