At their meeting, the Board approved Ms. Ashley Weltler to serve as the next Principal of Monroe Middle School beginning on July 1. Ms. Weltler is an experienced school administrator and comes to District 200 from Lake Zurich High School, most recently serving as the Assistant Principal for Academics, Assessment & Innovation. Prior to that, Ms. Weltler served as the Assistant Principal at Geneva Middle School where she also had the role of Dean and Athletic Director. Ms. Weltlerhas teaching experience in the subject of Spanish and has also been a dance coach. She earned her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Concordia University; her M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning from DePaul University; and a B.A. in Spanish from Michigan State University.

Superintendent Dr. Jeff Schuler is looking forward to welcoming Ms. Weltler to the District’s Administrative Team. “Ashley has an incredible instructional background at both the middle and high school levels,” said Dr. Schuler. “Her experience and skill set are a strong foundation for her work in District 200.”

Ms. Weltler is just as excited about coming to Monroe Middle School. “I am honored to join the District 200 team and thrilled to serve the students, staff, and families of Monroe Middle School,” said Ms. Weltler. “I believe strongly in providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging school environment which inspires in everyone a passion to excel. I look forward to meeting, knowing, and partnering with the Monroe community!”
