At their meeting, the Board appointed Mr. Dan Korntheuer to serve as the next principal of Wheaton North High School. Mr. Korntheuer is replacing Mr. Matt Biscan who is moving to the District Office to serve as Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services. Mr. Korntheuer currently serves as the Assistant Principal of Enrichment & Support at Wheaton Warrenville South High School.

Mr. Korntheuer is a familiar face at Wheaton North and in District 200. Prior to his current role, Mr. Korntheuer served as the Director of High School Instruction, Social Studies Department Chair & Teacher at Wheaton North, and teacher at Wheaton Warrenville South High School. Outside of school, he has coached football at both high schools and led other school-sponsored clubs. His educational experiences include a B.A. in Education from Illinois Wesleyan University, an M.A. in Educational Leadership from Aurora University, and an M.A. in Educational Technology from Concordia University Chicago. He and his family are also familiar faces in the District with his wife Stephanie serving as a Multilingual Teacher at Lincoln Elementary and two of his three daughters attending Northside schools.

Superintendent Dr. Jeff Schuler is pleased to welcome Mr. Korntheuer to a new leadership role in the organization. “Dan has served in a variety of leadership roles in District 200 and his skill set, student-focused mindset, and educational experiences will continue to build on the tradition of excellence at Wheaton North High School,” said Schuler.

Mr. Korntheuer couldn’t be happier to take over at Wheaton North. “I am thankful for the support of the Wheaton Warrenville South community and proud of the work we have done together the last five years,” said Korntheuer. “As principal of Wheaton North, I am excited to build on the strong tradition of excellence with the tremendous students, teachers, staff, and community. My family and I are thrilled to join the Falcons!”
