Welcome, Jason Spencer!

District 200 welcomes Mr. Jason Spencer as the District’s new Executive Director of Innovation and Technology. Mr. Spencer is replacing Mr. Rodney Mack who is moving on to another district where he graduated from. Mr. Spencer has served as the Innovation & Learning Coordinator and Instructional Coordinator at Wheaton Warrenville South since 2013. Mr. Spencer has also served on the District’s Future of Instruction and Technology (FIT) Committee since its inception, helping to create a district-wide vision and reflection guide of what a 21st century learning environment should strive to be and is continually in the process of implementing that vision in concrete ways. Prior to that, Mr. Spencer taught in middle and high schools since 2007. With a strong educational background, Mr. Spencer has two B.A.s, one from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Elmhurst College; an M.A. Ed Psych with a focus on Curriculum, Technology and Education Reform, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign; and an M.A. in Educational Leadership & Administration also from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Superintendent Dr. Jeff Schuler looks forward to welcoming Mr. Spencer to the team. “Technology plays a vital role in teaching and learning. Mr. Spencer has been a leader in our District in exploring and reimagining how we integrate technology into our classrooms and we are fortunate to have him join our district leadership team,” says Dr. Schuler. Mr. Spencer is also excited about the move within the District and says that he is, “grateful for the opportunity to continue work in District 200 in this new role. I look forward to joining an amazing team who encourages thinking big and providing engaging learning opportunities for our community’s students.”
