Keath Murray has assumed the role of Assistant Principal at Pleasant Hill Elementary, replacing Mr. Bob Cerny, who was appointed the new Principal at Whittier Elementary. Mr. Murray comes to District 200 from Georgetown Elementary School where he served as the Student Services Coordinator for eight years. Prior to that, Mr. Murray actually served at Monroe Middle School and prior to that at Pleasant Hill, both as a School Psychologist for seven years. Mr. Murray has a B.A. in Psychology from Milikin University; a Specialist Degree in School Psychology from Eastern Illinois University; and a M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Northern Illinois University.

Pleasant Hill Principal Paraskevi Stamatoukos is so excited Mr. Murray is joining the team. “Keath has a heart for kids,” said Stamatoukos. “It was evident in our discussions and the way he spoke about student support and student-centered decision-making. He will be consistent support for staff and families and serve as an excellent leadership partner at Pleasant Hill.”

Mr. Murray is happy to be “back home.” “I am so excited to be back in District 200 and honored to be the AP at Pleasant Hill,” said Murray. “I started my career as a psychologist here and loved my 4 years there before moving to Monroe. I’m looking forward to bringing my last 8 years of experience out of the district to the position. I cannot wait to be a part of Mustang students’ and family’s lives again and consider myself extremely lucky to work again with the amazing staff at the Hill!”
